I am hoping that the Proposed Penokee Mine has got your interest. It is being passed off as a JOBS win for Wisconsin but the reality of the situation is that it will destroy the area and the water; both from the Giles Flowage (where GTAC is proposing to pull water from to use in the mining process) as well as the Bad River Watershed. This will change the area in terms of game; big fish, wild rice (Ducks) and the habitat that has sustained this region for hundreds of years. Please join with us in taking a stand against this crime against the people of Wisconsin as well as protecting the water for our children and our grandchildren.
