Anyone interested in the future of the Gile Flowage is invited to attend the annual Friends of the Gile Flowage (FOG) Meeting on Saturday,  May 27 at 9 am at Dew Drop Inn, Hwy 77, Pence, WI.  Coffee and sweets will be provided.

FOG celebrates its 14th year with several new flowage improvement initiatives being discussed at the meeting. These include discussions of flowage stewardship projects, board elections, and a feature presentations:

    Zach Lawson - WI DNR Fisheries Biologist on the “Status and Management of the Gile Flowage            Fishery”

The meeting will also include the status of our invasive species grant and election of officers and board members.

FOG is a qualified Wisconsin lake association with membership open to anyone who is interested in preserving and protecting the Gile Flowage and its surroundings, enhancing the flowage’s water quality, fishery, boating safety, and aesthetic values as a public recreational facility for today and for future generations. To be held this year at Spooner High School on June 24th, the all day program will again be a great opportunity for lake leaders, local government officials, and others interested in protecting our water resources to take in a number of educational presentations, visit informative exhibits, and network with fellow lake enthusiasts.
