September 23, 2018 - Gile Flowag Island Cleanup

FOG will be sponsoring its Fall Island Cleanup on Sunday, September 23 from 10 am-12 noon, rain or shine. We’ll be meeting at Sucker Hole Boat Landing at 9:30 for coffee and sweets and departing for the cleanup at 10 am. Limited transportation on a member boat may be available or bring your own boat join the Cleanup whatever your location. Garbage bags will be provided. Dress accordingly and wear gloves to protect your hands.

A cookout lunch will follow at 1:00 at the Techtmann-Schmude Cabin, located just north of the Sucker Hole Boat Landing beginning at 1:00 pm. Brats and fixins will be provided. Please bring your own beverage.

May 25, 2019 - PUBLIC INVITED TO FRIENDS OF GILE FLOWAGE (FOG) ANNUAL MEMBER MEETING

Anyone interested in the future of the Gile Flowage is invited to attend the annual Friends of the Gile Flowage (FOG) Meeting on Saturday,  May 25, 2019 at 9 am at a location TBD.  Coffee and sweets will be provided.

FOG celebrates its 14th year with several new flowage improvement initiatives being discussed at the meeting. These include discussions of flowage stewardship projects, state of the Gile Flowage,status of any active grants, election of officers and board members, and other feature presentation.

FOG is a qualified Wisconsin lake association with membership open to anyone who is interested in preserving and protecting the Gile Flowage and its surroundings, enhancing the flowage’s water quality, fishery, boating safety, and aesthetic values as a public recreational facility for today and for future generations.
