Friends of the Gile Flowage Lake Association

The Friends of the Gile Flowage (FOG) is a non-profit qualified Wisconsin lake association dedicated to the wise use and preservation of the Gile Flowage for now and future generations. We welcome you to join the Friends of the Gile Flowage! The Gile Flowage is a 3400-acre lake located in northern Iron County, Wisconsin. Created in 1945 to supply a water reserve for hydroelectric power generation downstream, it has become much more. With its rocky shores and bedrock islands, today it is one of the last undeveloped large water bodies in northern Wisconsin. It is a special place cherished by those who still seek the real Northwoods.
